What is this?

During a compilation engagement, Pry Professional Group makes sure your financial statements are in the appropriate form and are free from obvious material errors.  Compilations consist of our experienced professionals reading your financial statements based on our familiarity with the industry accounting practices and with your company’s business.

Audit and review engagements are commonly referred to as assurance services.  The assurance comes from Pry Professional Group analyzing your financial information and expressing an opinion on it.

Review engagements are less extensive than an audit but do provide a basis for expressing limited assurance that we are not aware of any material changes that should be made to the financial statements.  Reviews require us to inquire about your accounting practices and procedures, financial statements and other matters, and perform analytical procedures to identify unusual items or trends.

Audit engagements are the most rigorous of the assurance services we offer.  During the audit process, we test the accuracy and completeness of information presented in your financial statements. This testing process enables Pry Professional Group to issue an opinion on how fairly a company's financial statements represent its financial position and whether it has complied with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Our experienced team will lead you through your audit, review, or compilation process, allowing you to focus on your strategic initiatives.  Our automated, paperless process streamlines the data flow from your office to ours.  We believe communication is the key to client service and during your engagement, daily status updates and weekly planning meetings will give you a forum to ask questions and give feedback.  Pry Professional Group also provides professional presentations in plain English to your board and audit committee, allowing good discussions and better insight into your financial picture.

What do I need to bring?

Prior to the start of an audit, review, or compilation engagement, we will provide you with an “items needed” list that specifies all of the documentation we will need to complete our services. 

Security is very important to us, as we are sure it is to you.  Any information you have in electronic format (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.) can be uploaded to Pry Professional Group through a personal, secure portal that we will create for you.
